Meet the Emmetsburg Small Business Owner!

Harli Krug founded HomeStyle in the summer of 2024, running it on a simple philosophy: "Create what you love and they will come."

Homestyle specializes in take-home, ready-to-eat, home-cooked meals and baked goods to order. And it's the baked goods that we can't stop talking about. Cookies, bars, cupcakes, protein bagels- all fresh, made to order, and completely from scratch. We're talking Sunshine Bars, Peach Cobbler, Lunch Lady Bars, and of course seasonal favorites like Pumpkin Bars and the epic S'mores Cookies.

What do you love most about running your business in a small town?

"I get to know my customers on a much more personal level."

What is your favorite thing to do in Emmetsburg?

"My husband and I love to visit the parks as a family. Our kids (Spenser, Parker, and Cooper) especially love the new splashpad!"

Do you have a favorite local tradition?

"Everything about St Pats is my favorite thing about Emmetsburg! The busyness of downtown, the parade, family and friends coming back to celebrate together, I love all of it."
